Au Petit Bar, a classic in Paris.

Au Petit Bar, a classic in Paris. I went but it was closed :(( luckily I managed to take a few photos without customers, which might actually be a better way to look at the space.
The interior is really simple and untouched. Red stools by the counter, mirrored walls, tiny tables, old tiled floors. It feels like one of those places that has stayed exactly the same for years, which honestly made me like it even more.
I’d read that it’s usually the mum and dad in the kitchen while the son serves the customers, and it weirdly resonated with me because Singburi used to be exactly like that back in the Leytonstone days before moving to Liverpool Street. Family run places always feel more special to me, especially when you end up ordering the best thing in the house just because they tell you to.
That said, I’ve heard amazing things about it, so I’d still recommend everyone to go. It’s definitely open now, I just happened to go on Labour Day 🙁
